Botany
Schefflera piperoidea is an epiphytic vine with soft wood. Leaves are few, found towards the ends of branches, and compound with three leaflets. Leaflets are elliptical, about 15 centimeters or more in length, and pointed at both ends. Inflorescences always terminate a branch. At the end of such a branch are 1 to 3 or even 5 racemes on which the flowers or fruits are borne in round clusters.

Distribution
- Only in primary forests at low and medium altitudes in the Laguna and Quezon provinces in Luzon, and in Polillo.

- In the Philippines, species used as a tonic for mothers after childbirth.
